Sex & City - NYV

Sex and the City, New York Version of New York values.

I saw this movie on Sunday afternoon w/ two gfs, just bcoz after the noon Chinese tea meal I had nowhere to go and no one available to date in such a hot sun.

Twenty-sth audience members, mostly women and a scarce of men accompanying gfs. My laughters were the loudest in the cinema. I wonder why this movie sequel of three struggling-in-love women plus one sex-avaricious stimulated so many crazy female movie-goers in Europe (UK?).

Well, all the three had a happy ending in marriage, lurking happiness while harmoniously dealing with habbies and nursing babies. It tells that the globalization of ultimate happiness for most women is still Marriage & Family. The director only let Semantha carry on her sex adventure even after 5 years try of cohabiting with a young bf, the over-simple basis: that's her nature! (Is it too simple? Men!)

Above all, this is a vanity show of fashion and love, showy items and self-centered hegemonic love (American values or NY?). The NY version of love is: love of fashion (external beauty and surface); New York indulgence&arrogance (the ladies feel only good in NY, not LA, not tropical Mexico, even the St. Louis girl came to NY for pursue of a LV bag and only she would return hometown for old love.)

To conclude, this's not bad for an awfully hot afternoon. At least we know some trick to lure(though old, in Kunming and Japan, guys can go to a restraurant to try these sensual food): put Japanese susie on your naked body and wait for a handsome to suck...at least some girls will fancy the wedding dress Kerry was wearing; at least we know to hit our guys with the rose bunch on their face; at least, four chit-chat women dressing up, not only to sharp our eyes, but to strengthen our integration of female forces!

IT's a typhoon signal no. 8 morning.I didnt go out but my friend told me Macau is cool nice w/o those throngs of tourist-gamblers.

DVC,
U call 25% vs 75% balance? ho, ho, ho! On the contrary, imbalance! Men still want the mainstream happiness mode, lovely Semantha is but a transverte of a man!

SCP,
Wish u a good taste into the cinema version SNTC> Indeed rare u a guy is a super fans. Which woman u like best among the four?

Thanks for comparative argument quoting Deng. "Every human will become Samantha, but some will become Samantha befor others."

Samantha has a lot of love for genuine happiness, she just avoid the stereotyped model. She understands her own need but cares less abt the mates'. Is that disappointing men (and women)? If i could, i would become rich before others. hehe..

Yet my point to post this article is:

The movie and the TV series are of totally New York petite bourgeoisie views, not American and global.

Ain't it a kind of unexpected gratification?
