i-phone girl

Do you know i-phone gilr.

I dont, before my bro. tells me.

Here she is:

A British young man received an i-phone and tuned it on and appeared this worker girl on his screen.

He wondered (with curiosity and joyful excitement), he uploaded it on some net forums.

So this Chinese i-phone girl become a global phenomenon in 6 days. She is actually an inspection worker on the production line who took the pics to test the phone but didnt delete them intentionally or unintentiaonally.

Is it very easy to become a legend nowadays?

What do you think of her and this phenomenon?

Any imagination behind this?

My concern is on the positive image presented by this smiling Chinese worker girl.

By being a happy healthy girl on the frontline of production she will get rid of the Bood and Sweat Chinese factories images in the Americans' mind.

Oas,

Unattached as you usually are. ok.

DVC,
Do you think so? We Chinese netizens have a completely different view here. Many young ppl are excited with the i-phone girl image being broadcasted around the world. Too over obsessed with so called natioanl image?

Thanks for your ironic pun. But you may not know, when China shapes itself as a world's workshop, how those American buyers (coporate brands and importers) exaggeratingly investigate into Chinese factories' social responsiblility compliance on a/c of human right?

I work in this industry and I know how the jobber auditors pick on everything of Chinese factories, incl. how the toilets should look like. I hope i am not a blind US-phonbic or -preyed.

I agree, on one hand, these auditing help improve a little the workers' wellbeing; on the other, they impose their standards which are not applicable in the current China, such as union&workers' representative, automation of work processes. Basically, all factories comply to national and local laws and the owners as well as workers' make very little out of the margins the foreign brands corporates make. For textile, usually selling price in the states are 4-10 times of factory's FOB price.

Good to ponder why things cheap here become so expensive in Europe and the US?

Democratic? there's no. Look, M&P partnership will win the American presidency, just becoz they have good brains to know to twist the terms and launch a cultural war againtst their counterpart.

I just want to tell to some innocent ppl who believe in their malicious media that there's very few, if not none, sweat and blood factories in China nowadays - iphone girl is a good sample. Even the gov is thinking to relocate the factories to somewhere else in the world. China is late but it all repeats what the other capitalism countries do - globalization.
