Good luck, Bati & Green-Papaya-like Growup Story

Today is my youngest brother Bati's last working day at his company.

Then he'll take up a post immly in a new co. which would require lots of overseas travelling.

I am nearly 9 years older than Bati. I took care of him when he was a baby and rode him on the bicycle basket to kindergarden. I even tortured him by shutting him up crying in the house. Soon then he grew up and followed me to my table tennis exercise. Then I went to a University and worked far away from home until one day I shouted at him on the phone, coz he ran away from (high)school without telling Parents and told me he would not take the University entrance exam. Recently by chatting abt the past he told me I even threw the phone on that conversation.

Young Bati's stunning actions incl.: at 9, he walked alone w/o telling anybody 20km from the city to village to see Grandparents; at 16, he travelled w/ a girl by train to Beijing. I thought my bro was over-romantic and worried how he adjusted to real life in the cruel society coz he always suddenly did something out of normal way.

At 17, Bati started his early working life, at factory, restaurant, hotel. He reverted to earn a degree from college through distance learning. He settled down at current company for 3 years and has a GF. He made good performance and everybody wanted him to stay, the boss proposed to double his salary.

But he succeeded the English interview by a famous US fashion Co. and impressed the interviewer by his self-learning and self-advance spirit. He was also impressed by the prospect offered there. So, he wants to further develop in a more challenging environment and decided to go.

I remembered once this year Bati told me, "If i suddenly disappear, it w/b I go travelling..." I responded, "No, no, this is absolutely irresponsible deed." He smiled no reply.

In a sense, Bati is more mature than me. And he made important decisions ten years earlier than me! What? I don't tell here. And once Bati said emotionally his life is made up of Surprises and Secrets. Sure, as a 24-year-old, his pressure is more than mine.

Wish you good luck and totally grown-up, Bati!

(I don't know whether to show Bati this piece, he's not member here.)
