Can you love someone unconditionally, without thinking and wanting any repay?

 Yes, mother's love is always unconditional. I was just amazed by this.

What's the use of doing/feeling things if it does not change anything in your life?

I guess for the ppl, only the feeling (in love or being tortured by love) can change their life. lol
