Lie Down, w/ Your Best Friend

If you happen to pass 84 Charring Cross Road, kiss for me, I owe it so much.
- Helene Hanff, "84 Charring Cross Road."

After a chaotic day, what's your best friend to lie down w/?

A sexy scenery may exhaust you, lie down w/ emptiness may drown you. Lie down w/ thoughts may give you insomnia. Why not a book? Your best friend in the world, it's silent, it's tender, it's fragrant, it's your best bed buddy, it's sleeping cradle . Sure, you can date w/ it whenver and whereever you like, not just in bed/bedtime.

After setback, failure, chaos, what's your best friend to comfort you? Book. It will never let you down.

When i was younger, i like nailed myself in bookshops for 2 hrs. At that time, no chairs for readers so i had to stand reading, strangely no sour feet. I remembered how I ran out w/dizzy eyes in the lights turned off w/ some bligblig sound. Now there's some limited chairs in every bookshop here in Macau, but i seldom go, except once in a while going to the small cozy Pinto on the top of Starbucks Cafe. I buy books but not enough care to them.

(What squeeze you out fm me, my best friend? Luckily, or unluckily, i only could lie down w/ you?)

We owe it so much if we keep close to computer and keep away fm it! If no time/interest in daytime, lie down w/ a book, for a most intimate kiss w/ yr best friend and attain some tranquil moments.

Pic. a heavy friend i carry in my bag today.

Mint,

You put it so lively the comparison btw books and lovers, which type you prefer? Guess the latter type is more lasting.

Virgo,

Sleep on top of a mound of books? And you transform into a book worm? aha. Yeah, how to dispose books after reading is a question. Like old friends, we dont want to leave them.

Here, we have very few second hand bookshops. And they caculate the price by weight! I prefer to give my book to some small library or reading room.
