I was also denied a visa to participate an exhibition w/ Macau pavillion in Las Vegas. i posed no threat to their anti-terrorism war. I posed a threat of being an illegal immigrant. Queer and annoyed experience. Today, still, the US government adopts humiliating gauges on granting visas to Chinese (& Muslims?). So what? We go to Europe and S. America instead. Days ago, a US biz delegation visiting China complained US government driving potential Chinese buyers/shoppers to EU, and pled for a change. BTW, China government do some teeth or teeth reaction to American citizens. If they apply for China visa, they need longer days and paid more. Americans get upset but we are more upset. ------ |

Why so much efforts to keep the world segerated.. screening and knowning who is who..that' ok... but, base it on something that is universal... and thus we could all be free to go where we want.

No, davinci. Not only Bush Admin. Every US cabinet did that more or less. In the 1950s, they oppressed communists in USA (also worldwide) by any means. Yeap, now under cover of anti-terrorism, they (the rulers and priviledged group) behave more worse, incl. to American citizen and to world citizen. Human rights are put aside whenever they deem it "necessary", such as eavesdrop, religionism, etc. Isnt it a big irony to them that China was elected the chairman for Human Rights Convention (not sure abt the name)? They always critized China for HR violation yet we can also make a thick book to critize theirs, maybe they are worse in quite some aspects. Sure, China needs to make efforts but USA need to mind more their own business.

Hr, is a big factors, but it has many many componenst within the details. to expound on it would be a multi volume process, tht involves all categories of what is society.. we can have vague viewpoints, but when the details present themselves, the landscape is different, than when viewed from afar..and that is in relation to any and all nations.

I doubt that I would be denied entry into any nation... some I care not to go to.. for my own reason, maybe of not knowing much about them.. but any that I have a desire to go to.. I don't feel I would encounter any problem with entry.
