kong gu As a young girl, I was very interested in kong gu (Cantonese, means ‘telling story’  ; my grandpa, sister and me swarmed beside the radio to listen to Zhang Yuekai (a renowned story-teller in Cantonese) telling the classics of ‘the Legend of Great Tang Dynasty’, ‘Water Margin’, among others.Now I kong gu (Cantonese, means ‘talk about stocks’ with ppl everyday. Big elephant, China Life, China Petrol, Communication Bank, Zijin Gold Mining… It is due to the change of era, of the world, or myself? …Down to earth… How come we always miss the past, dislike the present, and seldom kong ( tell/talk) abt the future. How Come we always miss the life of other places, dislike the on-going here-life, and never mention the prospect. Just some random thoughts. Ps. Whoever has cash, pls buy the gu (stocks) I kong (mentioned), sure win. ‘The coming 20 years is for China.’ |

Yeap i luv listening and telling stories LOL but dunno why when I grew much older, its getting more and more difficult to tell stories. Perhaps i should think that im too serious and couldnt express myself well LOL. LOL the kong gu u mentioned now changed a lot. Everything about zhen zhi, stocks, etc. Showing how much our society has changed. Looks like the past enjoyment has disappeared, or i would say.... not appreciated. Ahhh too bad  if im in china, i will invest.

Ann, gourmet, Telling stories to kids is indeed cheerful. My niece prior to 5-y-o loved it but reaching 5, she's just indulging in her own painting world. I like making up stories in mind. Hopefully will write some out in the future when i am with more aplomb. Your story makes history, yea! DVC, Distinctive instinct btw man/woman and each human. Woman errs, man forgives, and vise versa. 'Always' and 'Never' should be used to justify their existence. Pest, The stories mentioned in this post was broadcasted on radio, like series novels.
