Open the Letter - Down & Up Winter, when i lie down on the bed in the dark, i am very content to be at the cozy home in warmth; when I get up and see the first sunlight, I want to fly out of the window to travel and wander at somewhere - something turbulent beckoning me. Is this contradictious? What do you seasoned traveller say? How can have both? |

Friends, Seems nobody except touch touchs my point. The contradictiousness lies in the wanting of cozy home (which means safety) and of travelling (adventures). How can we have both? But very good that it trigger your sharing of your winter activities and thought of travelling...Thank you. Peregrin, So the winter bring you back to us bloggers while you are sitting in aircon. room. Pls explain why skiers have both and how can they ski in 40 degree heat. I am dumb at your wit. Mint, Cloudy mornings are when you want travelling, contrary to me, unpleasant weather and darkness makes me want to stay home. Sunny bright days arouse my rolling-on-the-road spirit. U simply want to escape the bad climate, biological reaction. Aha.

Su Tze is like leaving a dull life behind and then taking off for a new adventure. If you can't travel, then let your mind wander to where ever you want to go. SFB, I try hard to figure out what the Chinese is for Su Tze, but fail. So you are teaching me to be a spiritual traveller. Remind me of a past French writer who advocated 'travel in the bedroom.' Guess you/he has something true, things may look different if we render them another pairs of observing eyes. enjoy the journey's that find you within the journey.. Cheers, touch!
