Heros and Beauties Die Young

Since ancient time heros and beauties alike
Would not allow the world to see their white hair

In a morning lift, I heard over a husband reciting this ancient poems to his wife, in a jolly mood.

Since ancient time, many Chinese emperors were keen to find out some longevity recipe but no one succeeded.

Heros and beauties die young to perpectuate their heroism and beauty. Is it not a bliss?

You can share die-young stories of your own great ppl. I will come back.

Neb,

Thank you for visiting here.

I understand your personal perspective. But we can always glean some common rules out of uncommons. Doing this doesnt mean I (we) are pessimistic and dark but just to study the world/ppl fm another perspective.

Do constribute some, even they are bad rockers, as according to you.

The universe rotates, sometimes with depressive and dark spin and speed. Shant avoid these, ugliness and beauty co-exists. In Chinese culture, there are many negative but wonderful sayings abt heros/beauties/gifted die young, simply bcoz they are too good that even the Heaven envy them.

Goan,
A mentaphor or a fact?

I will find time to further my post of this topic.

DVC,

Your questions kills all the romantism but triggers my smirk. Do we need to immerse down to sources of romantism? Give u a chance to re-read and re-think.

Goan,
Thank you for teaching me.

By the way, many sighing quotes in Chinese for aging heros and beauties.

An aging fading hero is a 'nian po lao yi, shang neng fan fou?', which means, the General Nianpo is old, can he still eat?

There are more...like hong yan bao ming
