To Garble 'Wish You Were Here'

"We are just lost souls swimming in a fish bowl,
year after year, running over the same old ground.
What have we found? The same old fears."

What an exact depiction of us! Dont you agree, pessimists and optimists? Folks on bright side and dark side?

Can we break the fish bowl, and exchange the smashed pieces to an aquarium, a fish pool, a lake, even a river and an ocean?

Can we? but how to exchange the same old ground for a new platform; and replace new fears for old fears.

An everlasting theme merits a glimplse from you?

---------------

Wish You Were Here Lyrics
Pink Floyd

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain.

Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?

A smile from a veil?

Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?

Hot ashes for trees?

Hot air for a cool breeze?

Cold comfort for change?

And did you exchange a walk on part in the war
for a lead role in a cage?

How I wish, how I wish you were here.

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,

Running over the same old ground.

What have we found? The same old fears.

Wish you were here
.

So, so I think I can tell Heaven from Hell,
But can you see, can you see
the blue skies from pain?

Can you feel, can you feel
your feet on a green field in a cold rain?
a smile on a sail?

I think you can

...
...

Wish you were here and hear
a day is a fathomless cave

( I tried to counterplay but failed.)
