Help - what should I do ?

I've booked a skiing hol at the end of January next year. I'm going with a friend to the same place as last year. When he asked if I wanted to go, I said yes and he said he would get a friend for me to share with to cut down the cost. I didn't think too much about this until now.
It turns out HER name is Amanda. Yes, the 'friend' is a SHE and someone I haven't met yet. I don't know why I assumed it would be a guy - I thought we would be four guys going skiing. But my mate is taking his lady, and her friend is the one I'm sharing with.
What do others think about this?

It's a non committied meeting, and you can go with a "a friend" in mind, and enjoy the trip, and let life show what may be in store. who knows this could be a very delightful trip, and it too could be a trip without an end. Bring the Gent, that you are, all you have to do is that natural wonderful part of yourlself out to play, and it will make for a great memories for everyone. especially you. and the Lady will certainly find you to be smart , humorous and down to eath true to life enjoyable.

Go for it ...what the heck. How can you have a bad time skiing and being with a gal. How can it get any better. If she is not half bad looking and has a since of humor it has to be FUN. Now if she is butt ugly and is a stone face, You still can enjoy the skiing lol. GOOD LUCK

Thanks you guys and gals. Yep - sometimes I do worry too much.
Hey Dark - I've never done 'the boys thing' in all my life - I much prefer mixed company or one-on-one. The 'night out with the lads' never appealed to me.
Asia - maybe next time? They say it's never too late.
Chatalittlebit - don't get me wrong - because "I" don't believe, doesn't mean it isn't all true? It takes all sorts to make a world.

By the way, I've found out that this lady has a Yacht moored in Cardif bay. And yes, she has 'heard all about me' - and still she wants to go?
I'll just have be the proper gentleman (full of flirting and laughs) and see what happens.

Simply yr friend want to be the matchmaker for you two. I had this experience before. I have two friends both alone and I think they match each other. So desinged gathering/trips were arranged for them to stay together. Sometimes there w/b no good result.

You think they are matched but they don't! How's yr case?
