"The worst Week" Item #1 This week, my internet service has been down due to swtiching over to a combo package carrier.. for Internet/Cable TV/Telephone, the first major difficulty is the long wait for service.. ( why can't they just hire local vendors to do the installation, on a as need service basis, and have multiple vendors, so they can provide next day service *this is how silly and poor the administrators of business function- they miss the point that time is money). Next, there is the cell phone, I'm using my phone as a modem for my laptop..because the cell sites, don't have good coverage to provide wireless hot spot -"wide area coverage" but they don't give any discounts because of their poor ability to provide complete service over a stable network is lacking in performance. Next: my phone which cost me 350$, has a problem with the speaker and microphone, but I bought it because it has a standard keyboard, now they won't replace it with the insurance, and sent me a Phone that they give away BS phone they give to people who sign up for service for free, with predictive text, which is a pure and fully waste of time, if i'd wanted that I would not have paid the 350 for a quality phone. Now they only want to give me a better phone if I sign up for another year of service,... which is totally out of the question, the problems have been many with the carrier for the period of time I have had the phone and the service. I had, a 595$ phone bill in March, and then they billed me 160$ in April.. all because none of their rep's could tell me that I could get a full internet package for 29.95 a month, so I endued up using the phone as a dial up modem, for a anytime serivce I keep as a back up, that is only 5.95 per mo, with $1. per hour for usage. I do this because it allow me to log on at places without paying 9.95 a day, when I'm some place and without my lap-top or my own service.. to compound the problem, the full package, then made the internet access on phone limited, but increased my hot spot, and my usage as a modem.. "it's crazy"".. so now with the chepo phone, they sent, you can't type an e-mail address that has an _ in it, because the phone does not have that available without going thru countless steps..so it's a hindernce.. I've spent a total, cumlutive of over 8 hrs, on the phone being switched from one person to the next, having the call dropped, and the person does not have the courtesy and dignity of business manner to call me back, like I can get the same operator when I call back, i'm oue'd in a system and dumped to someone that have to start all over to explain the problem, so I ask them to log it in the computer and read it back to me so the next person has it and I don't have to be frustrated further with repetitions. when the rep, reaches the extent of their capabilities, instead of switching me to the lesxt level of supervision, they are quick to say what they "can't do".. so I began to start my calls by telling them, I am not interested in anyone telling me what they can't do but to tell me how they can make me a satisfied customer.. and why am I given a phone that is free, and they expect me to send them my 350$ phone or they want to charge me 300$ if I don't sent them anything. "now how insane is this.. We as a society won't get what we deserve for our money until we start to either protest, boycott, or suspend the usage of these tool, until they make them user friendly and cost effective in capabilities.. The model they discontinued, I think it was done mainly because it incorporated too much technology into one device, and they pulled it form the market, so they can make these substandard devices, that cause us as consumer's to pay for minr enhancment, that has a step up program, to deliver us a truly function product. BEfore you buy, shop ... and check everything possilbe, don't think in terms of what you don't need, think in terms of what is capable in technology... and that will curb us buying this garbage, and then finding ourselve limited in capabilities, and charged outrageously for service.. they may have removed a lot of pay phone, but they are suckering people, with this Data package of 5 mb and upward, seperate cost for text messages, seperate cost for e-mails, and seperate cost for hot spots and etc.. we need true comprehensive packages.. there is no reason that we should not be able to buy a service, that gives us, home/cell/ cable tv/ internet-that is function both at home and via hot spots, or true wireless anywhere anytime. why can't my home and cell hae the same number with different right tones, both working off the same minutes.. they can program that into a system. which could identify, one cell phone by sims card, and home phone by some code that addresses the same account. and works off the same minute plan. or provide a method for the home security system to work off of my cell signal, so I don't need a home phone .. which is silly to have a home phone, because if the wres are cut, or the service goes out, there is no alarm police protection.. so now the cable company tells me that if the cable lines goes down I won't have an alarm signal.. someone will come up with a platform to intergrate this stuff.. and tht person will be the next "symbol" as Bill Gates is of this day and age.. since I loaded Google destkop sooftware on my system, all of a sudden, it hangs up when I log on and won't load the google page as it did before.. I don't know what kind of tracking they have hidden in this stuff, so if you don't have it you may want to think twice before you load it.. I'm going to have my hard disk wiped and re-install the software I currently use, and not put any of this stuff on here, that gives any web site such function on my person machine. I am going to install a switching ( manual) for the always on internet service, so there is no signal to my machine unless i'm utilizing it..and when I finish I will flip the switch.. cosing the browser is not good enough..the Ip is still open..to your system.. and firewalls are ok, but they are not foolproof.. but a disconneted signal is as close to fool proof as we will get. that's at least one safeguard that was a plus for dial up.. but that did not prevent software from being embedded with a auto dialer hidden in the system. but we have to buy a home service, with at least the basic's to then pay our carrier, to have calls forwarded to home, when we are there, and or have people call us back on the home phone, then why are they even building lap tops without bluetooh, on all models, or home printers should ahve it standard, digital cameras should ahve it standard, we are a society that is being ripped off ... in so many ways... that it's actually not very productive to have all these gadgets.. they actually are deterrents to the harmony of life we once had.. which is sad to say... but the greed and mis-deed of big business has made the world crazy.. the internet should be free,.. no one owns it.. it should be free.. to all.. but .. we can only get on it by buying service access.. as if someone own the air.. most of the server operators, pay for their own equipment, so who ae we paying and why ?? with all the advertising dollars... for certain.. we should be able to have e-mail.. at no cost, and no need to have a service provider... to have such.. each computer, can have it's own built in IP software..the satelite's are up in the sy because of our tax dollars.. Yep... I'm royally pissed this week... next week, I'll be fine.. but from the frustration... I most certainly will be re-evaluating many things. Maybe once, Google, or the other's who have data base software, can get the MS out of business, with this new age ancient tech.. our systems, should not take so long to boot up, they should be partitioned so the backward reading software has it's own partition.. then we would not have to wait for all that useless code to load.. and then we could have a better secure system.. Give a bit of thought to what you spend monthly on communication and media... you will be amazed.. and you will maybe see why these things are so frustrating. Imagine what our usable income would be if this cost was better packaged and marketed to us.. Bring on the future

but from the frustration... I most certainly will be re-evaluating many things. Nice that you see positive fm negative. Somehow this digital world would make us suffer a bit and become less smart.

There very fast here,as ive got broadband with NTL and there very fast at sorting you out so you can get started.I`m very please.

feel better now  although I'm still waiting on the service men, to come and install my phone, and internet, and having the alarm company to come. it's very bad that it has taken a two week appointment to get this schedule for service installation..I've decided to keep my electronic as simple as possible for the next six months or so.. I don't think I'll be buying any new tech, I'm going to let it get seasoned before I buy it.. a few years ago, I bought a digital camera for 900$, and it's a sony, but then the screen cannot be seen when out in the sun, and it did not have a seperate view finder.. the models that came after that were with better screens and with a view finder.. so I got a semi usable camera.. Gadgets are fun.. but they sure take up a lot of time when they don't work..

I was suppose to be in Los angeles on thrusday, it's Friday night and I'm still home, it took all day until 8pm, to get my house alarm modified, first they told me they could not install the system board, for the upgrade because no one had told them it needed to be a dightal board.. ( when they hell did they go back to analog ?) then the guy installed the sensors, and said he'd be back when the cable guy finished.. the cable man was very effecient, he installed his items in one hour and I was up and running.. then I get a call from the alarm co, saying they could not get to me till next week.. I told them, either come today, or send someone and remove everything.."now" , the lady ,said if I could calm down she's try and help me.. so I calmed down.. she then told me she schedule me..and was I still going out of town..I told her I should have been gone, hours ago.. so she sent the men back out to intall the board.. then when they finhished.. they had knocked me offline again, that took another nearly 1 1/2 hours. finally they finished everything... hell .. i'm so tired and frustrated at this point, there is no way, I will drive the mile I need to to catch a flight.. I'm probably very prone to road rage tonight.. so I will take a hot bath, watch a movie... and go on Saturday.. this is not finished yet.. the man went to the house in Los Angeles, because the other guy did not cut the laen, theis man comes and wants 150$ to cut the grass.. I told them .. their best bet is to get off of my property and possibly avoid the whole neighborhood..!!! then the man comes to re-glaze the bathtub, for the lady who moved in, and they quoted one price, then he comes out, and has a different price.. I had the guy, to tell him to leave also.. "people are insane" !!!!! now the fuss about illegals, the latin's now want to charge like they are some 5 star company, and some of them don't even have the tool's for the job, or a logo on their truck.. guess I will start to talk with my friends about.. trying to develop a home maintanance business. and just sign up people on contract.. to do things, for homeowners.. this would has gone mad..!!!!!!! one piece of Luck, the cable installer's grandmother lives next door... so he was delighted to do the work for me..

well my communications are installed, and my cell phone is working better.. and thru the troubling week, it all resolved istel in process.. Now I don't feel like driving to Dallas, so today.. I think I will.. Water my lawn, give the dogs a few moments of play time.. attempt to clean my office.. and not make it a heavy agenda day.. but I think I do need to search again for a decent keyboard.. I have a microsoft board, but for some reason my fingers just don't feel comfortable on it.. I try to raise the tray, to the next slot.
