Looting, make the situation worse....Pity

It is sad to see the people who did the looting in the cities of Louisiana, how can they have the heart to do such thing? Natural disaster already bad enough and people has to put on the extra stress to the situation?

The Louisiana governor today announced, he will recall the 15,000 police force from the rescue operation back to restore the social order/stopping the looting and protect home owners from breaking in. if people doesn't loot, the 15,000 people can continue to do the rescue operation to save more life.

What a pity to see the human behaves selfishly in this way, Pity

First I feel sad for those suffering from this disaster. But I really shame for America, the Nation that Mr. Bush grades as the advocator for Freedom, Love and Peace. The looting is worse than Pirate's act. Meanwhile, I feel worried - what was predicted by some American movies is actually happening - Human beings reap what they sow. War, pollution, economic gains through devastating development...Yet what can we do? what can we do?

Wilddream - you have a way of stirring our feelings. Keep it up.
I have made comments elsewhere that there are people who have nothing and struggle to live every day. They behave with dignity and pride even though they have nothing. (I refer back to the people caught up in the Boxing day disaster) Here in the pictures of this latest disaster we see one of the main differences between the so called civilised west and the far east. Those who have the most always want more and are prepared to take it by force - these are the selfish ones. Then there are those who have little and will give you what they have if you are in need.
Some of the people I saw interviewed had been without food for 5 days. They looked like they had caused the food shortage in the first place - again taking more than is needed (food) - we should all make do with just what we need and stop stripping our world of all of its resourses just for greed. When all of our resourses are nearly gone, those that survive on a bowl of rice and some vegetables will still be here - those that need 10 burgers a day will not.
Lets all take a moment to think of those that have died and send our feelings to the suffering (those that deserve it anyway) - lets have peace in our world.
America - you are being watched by the world - how do you want to be seen. Get these areas the help they need NOW - much of the problems will fade when your people are being looked after properly.
