Dandelion 蒲公英 (2) "Dandelion" some night, Feb 2004 Legs dangling from a porch swing bright eyes watching the sun go down, it's final rays lifting into the heavens in one last breath of day. You gave me a flower a Dandelion "Make a wish," you said, and I sent the seeds flying high above the fire red orb as if we had heaven in our grasp "What did you wish for?" you asked. I let you not pry for the answer; that wish I hold true 'til this long day after. Gray eyes now wonder and still hope for the day you and I, the old porch swing and a dandelion were the only things we need to make dreams come true again. CHARLIE IS MY ANGEL |

Heart, my children love dandilions. They call them "wish flowers". When I asked my 6 year old son what he wished for, he said, "I can't tell ya or the wish won't come true. But you already know, Mom. I just want to be wif you." (we have shared custody and half his life has to be spent with his angry father)

HD I see more truth and love in yr dandelion than their roses. The dandelion's wish and dream, not a PEST CAN WIPE AWAY. Thank you for your own poem and Ed's, it forms a good duet.
