To those of you who have taken the time to read my blog, thanks. To those who have responded know that I appreciate it.

I have not written for awhile now as I have just been swamped at work. I have not even had the time to repsond to emails.

I have been very busy and we had an explosian at one of the plants we work at. One man was killed and several seriously injured. Thankfully none of the 25 employees I had at the plant were injured. For the past two weeks there have been endless meetings about the explosian. When you see devistation like this it makes you realize how fleeting life is. Also how petty some people can be.

Makes you appreciate the belief that "You should live today like it's your last, because you don't know."

Anyway I hope to have more time to write and respond to others now.

I hope today finds you all safe and happy.

Oh wait I went to the eye doctor this afternoon and my eyes are still dialated. No wonder I'm wearing shades in the office.

Today we are going to talk about those who walk among us............

IDIOTS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD: I live in a semi-rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the Deer Crossing sign on the road. The reason: "too many deer were being hit by cars" and he didn't want the to cross there anymore. This one was fro Kingman KS.

IDIOT SIGHTING: I was at the airport, checking in at the gate when an airport employee asked, "Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge? To which I replied, "If it was without my knowledge, how would I know? He smilled knowingly and nodded, "Thats why we ask." Happened in Birmingham AL

IDIOT SIGHTING: At a good-bye luncheon for an old and dear coworker who was leaving the company due to "downsizing", out manager commented cheerfully, "This is fun. We should do this more often." Not a word was spoken. We all just looked at each other with that deer-in-the-headlights stare. This was a bunch at Texas Instruments.

IDIOT SIGHTING: I work with an individual who plugged her power strip back into itself and for the life of her couldn't understand why her system would not turn on. A deputy with the Dallas County Sheriffs office no less.

*and they walk among us
and REPRODUCE

I hope these reports have made you laugh today. They are not ment to be mean if anyone has done any of these things lol.

Hello Friends

I have not posted to my blog for sometime now as I have been so busy at work that I just have not had the time. I find that this afternoon I am alone in the office so I am going to take a couple of minutes to write a post.

Hmmmmmm what to write, well lets see, well how about some interesting facts. Well they were to me haha.

I read in the local paper the other day that Iowa where I live is 22nd in the US for the number of obese residents. 25% of our residents are considered obese. I believe the county I live in is way over that. I would estimate that at least 50% of our population would be considered obese. What scares me about this is that I notice that many of the are now way overwieight. Can't people just leave the junk food alone? Don't they have any mirrors in their houses? How can they let themselves get so fat? Now I am not talking about the small percentage of the population who can't control their weight. I am talking about the cows who just can't stop eating. Not only are they shortening their own lives but that of their . I am guessing that those of you from asia don't really know what I am talking about, but I am guessing that in a few years you will. While in China I noticed that two of the busiest places were Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonalds. Not good for weight control lol.

Another item I noticed in the local paper was that Ottumwa, Iowa my home town has the largest per capita latino population in the United States. 20/20 was here last week filming a special that will be run on the 25th of september about this. What I find facinating about this is that I am in Iowa which is just about as far from Mexico as you can get and still be in the United States. I would have thought that CA, AZ, NM or TX would have this honor.

Not much for anyone to probably comment on but I found this information interesting.

One more thing...........

Another hurricane is developing in the Gulf of Mexico the second one this month. There is a possiblity that it could be as strong as Katrina. Considering that we are in a ten year cycle of increased hurricane activity and can expect 2 to 3 catagory 4 or 5 storms each year, does anyone else wonder how we are going to afford to payout $200 billion to $400 billion each year for the next ten years? That could be up to four trillion dollars. Now I realize that to the government that may not seem like a lot of money. But it sure sounds like a lot to me.

Ok enough, I guess I have made up for not posting for a couple of weeks by being long winded.

Be Happy
Be safe
Live today like it may be your last, you never know.

Well it's Friday and we have a three day weekend coming up. Work has been the normal zoo today but I am used to that.

I own a contracting company and we do work for very large corporations. There are some truisms that I have learned over the years that I will share here.

1. The customer is the enemy. They will promise you the world to get their work done, then forget their promises. Moral make them sign before the work begins

2. Vendors never keep their schedules. Always allow extra time since the products will not be here on time anyway. Moral never box yourself in a corner.

3. Workers will do what is inspected of them almost never what is expected of them. Keep an eye on your employees or you will pay a lot more in payroll than you need to. Moral repect your employees but make sure they know what is expected then inspect them to make sure they got it done correctly and on time.

4. Adults are babies too. Time after time I have sworn that the business should be called Quality Adult Day Care. It is amazing how childlike some adults can be. Moral just because you are in the grown up world, don't expect all adults to act like adults all the time.

There now if there are some new management employees or new business owners out there maybe this will stop some gray hairs lol.

You all have a wonderful weekend, I have a wedding to perform and a golf tournement to play in so mine will be good.

Thank you to those who stop in here and offer words of wisdom. Keep coming back and I will try to make it interesting.

Hi all

I am still here and still full of questions.

Over the weekend I had two freinds (women) who came to me crying about their boyfriends. I spent many hours on Saturday helping them with their problems. I think I am now an official relationship couselor. lol

So now not only can I marry them as thier minister, but I can cousel them later.

Oh I guess I didn't tell you that I am a minister. I got my certificate on line from the universal life church and the universal church of life. I have a lot of friends who don't want to get married in a church or by a judge. So I went on line and got my certificates which are good in all 50 states.

The amazing thing is that I have wedding planners coming to me for my business card because there are so many people out there looking for a minister like me.

I know I am rambling on and haven't asked a question yet but I'm getting to it.

A little background about me. I was born and raised a Roman Catholic. Once I became an adult I began questioning the church and spent many nights having my questions answered by a priest. I was a Catholic until I was told not to come back to the church anymore. (since then I have been invited back on a number of occasions) The reason I was asked not to come back was threefold. First I got divorced after marrying in the church, Second I got a vasectomy and third I got remarried. Now after leaving the church I tried most of the other churches available, Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran etc. Never did find one that I could truly believe in. So now I have a strong faith in God, but believe that all of the organized religions are missing a lot. I have read too much about the bible and how it was put together to have a lot of belief in it. I know that many of my beliefs would have been enough to have me burned as a heratic in the middle ages. If people are interested in this maybe we will go into some of those beliefs at a later time.

Now my questions.................

Sorry to you of the Jewish, Muslem or other religions these first questions are only for Christians.

Are you religious and if so have you ever questioned your religion?

Do you believe that every word in the bible is the word of god?

Do you believe in heaven and hell?

Do you believe that homosexuals are condemed?

Whatever religion you are has your religion been used as an excuse to go to war? Murder? ? Control?

I am sure that this will cause some raised eyebrows at the very least and maybe some hate mail but i want to hear from people about thier beliefs.

All of this because some friends were having trouble with thier boyfriends.

You all have a wonderful day and we will talk again soon.

My Blog

I guess this is a place for me to let my mind wander and talk about all the things that spin, flip and generally run through my mind.

lets see..........................

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

just kidding there is lots of stuff in my mind, i'm not sure it will interest anyone but who knows.

I wonder.......

how many people on these sites are really looking for someone to love?

how many are looking for new friends?

how many find love?

I is pretty easy to make friends, but a little more difficult to fall in love with a letter and screen.

How many people on these sites have taken the time and effort to go and meet someone to find out if they are in love?

I used to be on a site called Cherry Blossoms and found a woman that I cared for. I traveled to China hoping that it would work but in the end it did not work out. I did not go back to that site as there was way too many women trying to get into your pocket. This site is much much better.

Ok thats enough for today more later
