Haste makes waste...

How ofter are there times when we jump into things that we do not fully understand, only to end up regretting our decisions at a later date?

I know for me, it is a constant learning process. The older I get the more attuned I am at gathering all of the right information in order to make a sound, concise decision. In the long run, this saves us much time.

For the bad decisions we always end backtracking and spending time fixing, or covering up, the mistakes that we made. Efficiency is lost, and not to mention, some of the loss could be irrepairable, and thus, we spend more time lamenting, or struggling with the loss--that whole, shoulda-coulda-woulda rant comes to mind.

For some, it takes more time than others to make decisions. I, personally, do not see any problems with this. I feel very sound in the fact that people take the tme to 'think through' that which is unknown, so that we do not end up regretting our decisions in the long run.

I think, therefore, I am.

when we do things too quickly we are likely to end up with poor results. but it also depends on the issue at hand. some things need no serious thinking, that's where common sense/logic is handy. there are people too who think too much. so, it all depends on which makes you feel more comfortable and confident.
