Long Distance Relationships...

These past few days, I have been reading articles and posts about long distance relationships and internet dating. I have learned so much out of these posts and I have made my own stand about this too. The future is always unclear. If at present, what you are trying to nurture is a long distance relationship, then treasure it. The distance could sometimes be a blessing in disguise, allowing you to come to know your friend in many ways that close proximity could stifle. Proximity can breed taking for granted the opportunity to talk at any time. It can also lead to physical intimacy before you are both ready. Distance, combined with telephone calls and writing, can foster an enviable intimacy which results from learning about another's qualities, values, ways of thinking, sensitivities, dreams, and aspirations. This type of intimacy can make your coming together much more special. There are some people who spend more time writing their thoughts and feelings to the recipients of their affections than they spend in face-to-face conversations with people they live with, day in and day out. Many day-to-day relationships are characterized by superficial conversation, and few, if any, meaningful heart-to-hearts. So, I guess if that friend from miles away is making you smile, then it’s worth nurturing. If it doesn’t work out, at least you allowed something wonderful to happen in your life...

Aura,
I agree with this. It gives the mental part to mature before the physical.

Well said aura. If you don't at least give it a chance you'd never know what you missed. It could be the best relationship of your life.

thank you guys for dropping by my blog... its nice we all have the same wonderful outlook about long distance relationships... i know this is only the upside... just like all relationships, a lot has to be done to make all things work out, both sides... we gotta be strong and brave and smart too, to weather it all... and we should learn when to hold on or when to let go... now that's tough and that's the next lesson to learn...

What is faiths and destiny ???
Half cup full or half cup empty??
I once over heard my neighbor..wife shouted at her husband, you care more for your dogs then me,when are you going to learn.

You are born to walk this road or travel this journey once.Life is just too short to regret about miss opportunity.Go for it,if you do not succeed,at least you have try your best and move on.
Faith and Destiny are not written and seal in concrete...it is all up to you how you want to live your life.
Don't be a passenger in life,be a participant instead.
