Just a polite question...no opinion one way or the other...

I note that a lot of Asian ladies give the "V" finger sign in their photos. Is that for "victory" or "peace" or is there another meaning in Asian culture? Thanks for solving this great mystery!

I think it is for Peace, as they saw in a lot in the late 60's and 70's when America systems began to be more open to Japanese people as a co-operative nation and congenial partner in economic and capitalist unity.. and they convey the sign of willingness and availability to mingle and be accepting of diversity in their their associations with what they feel is a symbol that conveys the desire for unity and peace.

They are using it as a symbolic way to convey, that they are available for cross cultural friendship, as well as for cross cultural dating and mating
