Slowly, but surely...don't call me Shirley!

200 is finally in my rear view mirror and 190 is dead ahead, as I've hit 195 on my quest to go from 242 to 175. And it's SO EASY if I stay away from bread and potatoes most of the time. I've just returned from my 40th high school class reunion up in Wisconsin and I cheated on my diet for three days, but I took long walks (6 miles a couple of times and 10 and 15 once each) and stayed faithful on the other 6 days of my trip. I hope that, "by the time I get to Phoenix," I'll be close to 190 and when I fly over "Galveston, oh Galveston" on my return, I'll be in the 180's.

If you didn't catch the quoted remarks, listen to Glen Campbell's Greatest Hits!

May I ask what diet plan you use?

I only care about you. 我只在乎你!

Yes, you may ask and I will answer! I do the Atkins Diet, keeping my carbohydrates (bad - low glycemic AND good - high glycemic) to a minimum. When I travel, I do the McDonald's dollar menu and get McDoubles, cheese only and no buns. This trip to Scottsdale, I'm staying at Springhill Suites and they do the full free breakfast, so I had eggs and pork patties this morning. To those who say "high fat makes you fat," you should have seen the morbidly obese guy that took bad to his room two plates of food. One plate had two sweet rolls and a bowl of maple and nut oatmeal and the other plate had a big waffle and syrup. I had two hardboiled eggs, some scrambled eggs and four pork patties. Mine had more fat on the plates, but I will reduce fat from my body. His had less fat on his plates, but he will add fat to his body. It's because this diet taught my body to burn, while his "diet" taught him to burn carbohydrates and have sugar peaks and valleys all day long, storing fat all the while. He's going to have a BIG casket very soon. Rest in Peace.

I meant "took BACK to his room," but I was thinking of the bad stuff on his plates, so I typed "took BAD to his room."

Wow - really blowing this response: I meant to say, "this diet taught my body to burn FAT,"
