Scammers are now buying GOLD memberships!

No longer can you tell a scammer by a Standard membership, age 29, race other, trying to win the heart of men twice "her" age (actually his age, somewhere in Russia, Ghana or Nigeria).

Now, they're buying GOLD!!!

Makes sense: for a few dollars a month, they can make thousands in "wire me money for a plane ticket" scams and Chinese FriendFinder won't remove a paying customer. Kind of like paying the mob (AFF) for protection...

I blogged about fake photos last week. It seems someone contacted me who is a gold member... they attached 3 photos to the message. Those photos come from the website of an actress in Ghana. I have reported this member... it must be 5 or 6 times now and the profile is still active.
CMIC is correct. The money for gold membership probably came from someone who was duped.
Another thing... just because the photo is of a woman, doesn't mean the scammer is a woman behind those messages. I read somewhere they could have an operation with a group of people literally taking turns on the same computer.
Scamming Is a business for them... a real job.

this red is very hard on the eyes.

but as to scammer... unless you know a person well and well enough to care to assist and want to send whom you know money, then scammer are powerless to get your money.

nothing will ever make scammer stop trying

I have successfully had many Gold, Silver, along with standard accounts terminated because I was able to provide enough information to Chinese FriendFinder abuse that the person behind the account was indeed suspicious.

Pay close attention to pictures on profiles, if they look too good to be true, they probably are. Look for watermarks (web site names) this is a sure Red Flag that the picture was probably stolen from a web site. I have reported these type of profiles, and again seen many removed.

I use a dummy email account and freely offer it to them asking for a picture to be sent to me. Learn how to read email headers and find the senders IP# so that you can report them.

The majority of these scams are out of Nigeria, Ghana, Russia, and the Ukraine.

~ I am glad I only paid for 3 months! ~

What I get a lot of is, girls want me to go to another paying website to be able to chat with them. I just move on when I get such a request. I guess they make a commission on people they bring over?
