The election... The election for president of the United States has ended. The results are Barack Obama wins a 2nd term. Some will be pleased and some will complain. This is politics. See you in 2016. |

Woaini... yes, you demonstrate what I always say... people have many natural abilities. a few years back when I created my business, the economy went into turmoil, just as I moved the office from home to a office building. The economy went into free fall.. It cost a lot, what I found out was, it cost a lot of money to wind a business down, it never got to be productive. things were slow for a few months with all my money used up and no job, but as Obama started to work on stimulating the economy, it did open up job options and programs, I was fortunate enough to get a job and over see Fed and State programs, some were stimulus based programs, some local government and other through different Fed and State agencies, Not only did I build a good unity among the agencies I worked with, I made good relations with many of the people who administered the program from a higher level. all were successful, all met and exceeded their target objectives and all were delivered on time and some ahead of time. I know first hand how well the Stimulus worked, I also know how many people it helped, Not just in this city and state, but across the nation. I got to see many of the faces of the challenged among the people who needed the assistance, and I know first hand that the % of whites were far higher than the media would discuss, who benefited from this assistance, and I know how gracious people of all ethnic make up was, to have access to this assistance.. It was great to see people not become homeless, it was great working with agencies to help coordinate recovery for people , with various training and other resources assistance. Many people never know how hard social workers are working and what they deal with, the people who do that work are tremendously strong and they have good resilience to face so many who are facing so much, and come back day after day with a determination to be of assistance. I can also confirm that a great many in many professions within the private sector make a great deal of their income from government sponsored programs. many people have no idea how much government investment contribute to local business, local professionals. but if it ever went away it would show up very quickly how much many of these professionals rely on government contract. it also would astound many to find out how many professionals seek out and prize their government contracts. Why you think the wealthy want to privatize everything.. It's because they want the government contracts. with Medical care, no doctors are going to run away from Medicare, because they know the government pays its bills and they pay them in a timely manner. many people who work in various firms, don't know enough about the business of the firms, because if they told the truth, they'd also know a great many firms are continually seeking out government contracts. The government creates many jobs, by the various contracts it provides to get the public sector to do a great deal of work which the government needs to hae done. This is true for both local government, County Governments, State Government and Federal Governments. Many things if it was all purely left up to the private sector there is much that would not exist. When you see those nice roads leading to developments, it because the government built them, many people build subdivisions, they are more than eager to turn the community streets over to the local governments, because the developers don't want to be responsible to maintain them. there is much that many people don't want to think about, but if they start to trace thing in detail they will find out just how much the government plays a part in helping things succeed in this country. right this very day, it is banks that gouge people, but the Fed's loan the banks money at 0% interest. They have been doing so now for 4 yrs or so.. but without this the greed of banks would cry they don't have the money. But yet, the banks claim 4-5-6+ billion profit every 3 months. and that is only what they put on record.. that does not account for the 2 billion they float from one quarter to the next. Going Forward, I think the people will come to learn more and in doing so they will come to respect the government more. some will always be cynical and some will always be anti government, but the wise ones know that America is what it is because it has a good government design and it may not function perfectly, but without it, we'd be no different than some of the countries that have tyrants and peasants and nothing in the middle. If Americans supported their government with the same respect that Chinese support their government, America would succeed even more. here we have a choice, and sadly with that choice, too many become anti government, all the while unaware of what they benefit from the existence of the government.

Unemployment is a issue the government cares about, Roosevelt , and the New Deal is what brought America back from the Great Depression. Infrastructure projects not only put people to work, it made infrastructure so business could grow and people could interact over long distances by having a stable infrastructure to navigate. The government has many program which support worker training, and much of it is designed to support the various industries that sprang up in the private sector. Row vs Wade as about - the rights of the individual to make choices, and the government is about protecting by both judicial and legislative acts to support people making choice. liked or unliked, Gay marriage is a civil rights issue.. it may not be along the lines of Christian Values in a Christian nation, but it does fit under the Civil Rights, which again the Government is about supporting both Judicial and legislative acts to respect the Civil Rights of its citizens. government policy is what insures that business not only play fair in making safe products, but that quality standards are set to insure that Americas are not harmed by unscrupulous individuals who would make and sell harmful products. Social program are designed as a safety net to assist people during transistional times. It was never designed for people to be perpetual generational users of these benefits.. But that too is coming to an end, as new policies and new methods of management will push people to invest themselves, and not mis-use these programs.. cuts to program will weed out those who are abusing the programs, We can expect to see many changes, including eventually drug testing recipients, along with mandatory public service from people who receive these benefits. People in america take government for granted and try and dismiss it, until they need it.. but the governments job is to GOVERN" and it does that by regulatory managements. which is put forth by legislative process and sanctions by judicial decisions. I'm amazed as how so many want the government to not be what it is, but if it was not what it is, America would not be what it is. We as a people mis-understand what Freedom is, Freedom is first and foremost a 'responsibility".. it has never been a do as you please ideal.. It is about making choices under a governed system that does not negate the governance nor dis-regard the responsibility to respect the governance guidelines.
