While we are on the subject of lies... The man wants to be honest in his relationship but his wife put on a few pounds (kilos) over the years and they are getting ready to go out with friends and she is struggling to pull up a pair of jeans. Looking as she turns her backside toward the mirror, she says to her husband "Honey, do these jeans make my ass look big?" (gulp) Without answering her, he focuses his attention to something that appears to be outside the window and says "Hurry up dear, Bill and Sarah just pulled up and we need to leave now."
