A new USB on the horizon... Hey you tech savvy guys and girls. Not long ago I read (in some technical article) that the next release of USB connectors will be non-directional. Just like car keys where it doesn't matter which side is up. The new USB's will do the same. Everyone knows how annoying it is when reaching behind a computer to plug in a USB cable that won't fit. You must fumble to flip the connector over. Polarized USB connectors will become a thing of the past. Yeah, I know there are millions of USB devices on the market now... I'm sure the new connector will also be smaller and offer faster transfer rates. So get out your checkbooks and ATM cards as we come to another round of new devices to spend money on! |
