Bendgate...

Okay... who waited in line to buy the new Apple iPhone 6+ ??
If there's any company unaffected by faulty products it's got to be Apple.
Try this with another company and chances are, they would go 'belly-up' in a mater of a few weeks.
I'm referring to the iPhone 6 and 6+ that were recently released.
Several companies posted YouTube videos of these phones being tortured tested.
The results aren't too pleasing...
Some reports were sitting down with the phone in your back pocket could bend the aluminum case, thus damaging the phone.
The aluminum frames don't hold up under pressure and the cases bent.
Some bent so bad, the screens popped off the body of the case.

The industry has already named this problem "Bendgate".

Apple made a statement (side stepping the real issue as expected) explaining the high quality materials that go into the making of these models and a bend is extremely rare. If you have questions, please contact Apple. They acknowledged only a handful of reports of bent cases when the owners had the phone in their back pocket and tried sitting.

Already one YouTube video has a guy bending a 6+ in his bare hands that's been viewed more than 2 million times. He did another demonstration in public with similar results.

I carry around a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in my back pocket and haven't experienced the case bending. The iPhone 6+ wasn't out a week and the warnings about bending cases went viral.

The point being... maybe Apple should have done more rigorous testing when offering a phone with a large screen. Samsung has been doing it successfully for four years now.

Trusty, agreed. But you have to consider tight jeans sitting on a hard chair and the phone is destroyed.
