Mad Dogs and Englishmen... Earlier this week a famous British singer died at the age of 70. His name was Joe... Anyway... Joe was an amazing singer. I first heard about him from the 1969 concert at Woodstock. His version of the Beatles song 'With a Little Help From My Friends' had so much impact we had forgotten all about the original! Like many musicians, Joe was affected by addictions and it was lung cancer he lost the battle with. I spent a few hours this week listening/watching to a few videos on YouTube from Joe, including the one where he performed on an episode of Saturday Night Live where comedian John Belushi mimicked Joe. It looked like Joe was unhappy with John... especially since John did a good job of copying Joe. Funny, it was. Rest In Peace Joe... you entertained millions!
