Limbo...

It appears to be the way the system is designed but we are doing everything according to the checklist. The Fiance K-1 visa was good for 90 days. We married and submitted the necessary forms (and lots of money) within the 90 day time frame. Receipts (both e-mail and mailed copies) were received stating that our paperwork was received and being processed.
My wife received an appointment for the biometrics processing later this month. This is good news. However, her visa was good only for one entry to the US and should she need to leave the country for a family emergency, she risks re-entry into the US again. I've applied for an additional extension to her visa.
Until she receives her change of resident status, she is in technical limbo. The company I work for offered a boat cruise to their salesmen, but I had to decline as my wife is unable to travel outside the border of the United States... limbo until further notice.

BK... power of the mind? Yeah, it's telling me to get back to work!

The dictionary defines limbo as: an intermediate, transitional, or midway state or place.

My wife is waiting on the processing of paperwork, therefore she is in limbo until her immigration status changes.

BK, I'm told it's 6-8 months to complete the paperwork.

Thanks wo...
My wife took a big risk (and life change) coming to America to marry me and she says she has no regrets. We are both delighted to be together!
