Chinese New Year dishes...

My asked my wife if she would cook some traditional Chinese New Year dishes for a party on Sunday. She agreed but wasn't sure what to prepare for fear they wouldn't like her cooking.
I smiled because my wife cooks some really tasty foods for me and is very humble about her cooking skills. Other than helping for a Christmas dinner, this will be her first (friends and family) meal prepared and coordinated on her own. I'm sure she will do fine!

Yesterday and today we visited several markets including the Asian market for some green vegetables, mushrooms and sesame seeds.

Right now, plans are to make shrimp and pork dumplings, lots of vegetables, pork chops, rice soup with mushrooms, tofu and vegetables.
That should be enough... oh yeah, I almost forgot. We ordered a Peking duck that will be ready at 10:30am

We had more than enough food for 10 guests. It was awesome!
Everyone loved the pork with sesame seed topping and dumplings!
I know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow.

Springrolls and fried rice with sweet & sour sauce was my choice.

I like the duck plate.

I only care about you. 我只在乎你!
