Allergic to nuts...

I'm allergic to nuts... especially peanuts. It wasn't always this way, but as I grew older the allergy got worse. Since many Asian foods (restaurant or store bought) are cooked in peanut oil, I'm finding that a day or two later brings on acne that usually takes a few days to clear up.

Now that my wife is cooking nearly all of my meals, it's easier to see what it was that caused the bad reaction.

Recently, we started eating some pancakes from the Asian market. It's made with 2 pancakes about 4" in diameter that are pressed back to back and 2 spoonfuls of a sweet bean filling in the middle.

The label on the package is in Chinese but it says they are made in Japan.

I think is it's cooked in peanut oil and that explains the reaction.

Since many different nuts are processed in plants that also process peanuts, the reaction I'm having could be indirectly caused by peanuts and (lets say) not cashews.

This week I bought a bag of unsalted Pistachios and I'm getting the same reaction.
