Lynyrd Skynyrd Drummer dead at 64...

Robert Burns Jr., drummer (and original founding member) of Southern rock music icons Lynyrd Skynyrd, died as the result of a car accident.

Burns reportedly ran off the road around Midnight Saturday in Cartersville, Georgia. The section of road he was on curved and his car hit a tree.

He left the band in 1974, but it was him playing drums on the recordings of hit songs like Sweet Home Alabama, Gimme Three Steps and Free Bird.

He's a free bird now!

 We are loosing all the greats. I was fortunate to see 'Skynyrd' 10 years ago and they put on a great show.
