Performance Chip... A coworker has the turbo version of my car and is talking about changing the on-board computer chip to a high performance chip. Doing (a little) research, I found most of these performance claims are deemed as hype in that people (after spending lots of money) who tried them usually got little and in some cases lower performance. For me, the easiest way to getting better performance is a higher grade of fuel. Simple solution. |

GM and others are trying to push a law where one can't alter or tamper with the computer system in the auto's.

Beyond... I believe I saw a similar yahoo story about that. I'll have to find it and actually read it. Something about you don't really own the car, you are merely licensed to drive it because of the software agreement. Are they serious????
