nomophobia... maybe you're addicted to your cellphone!

Do you want to learn a new word?
Nomophobia. It's the fear of being out of mobile phone contact.

Nomophobia is an abbreviation for "no-mobile-phone phobia"

Maybe you're afflicted with this phobia.

My office, has little or no cellular connection for some carriers. Many of my coworkers have the same problem and they stand outside to take calls as their phones have little or no reception in the building. It's probably due to the metal roof supported by steel columns and steel rafters that are blocking the cellular signals.
I resorted to buying a cellular booster that brought amplified signal into the building. It worked for me and I see it must have worked for 2 other guys as they also benefited from the booster. Another guy switched carriers... there is a tower within visual range of my office. It's a T-Mobil tower and all my coworkers on that carrier are fine.

Anyway, it's important to have connection. I have calls, texts and mail going on (literally) day and night. Wearing a Bluetooth earpiece (and looking like I was assimilated to the Borg) is the greatest invention. If I leave my phone somewhere and travel more than 30 feet from the phone, my Bluetooth announces it's lost the signal... I quickly run back and get my phone.

The hassle of having to replace a lost (or stolen) phone is overwhelming. Time and money.. lost photos (if you don't have things backed up) and lost text messages... things that cannot be recovered. I think the key word here should be lostmophobia... the fear of loosing your cellphone.

You can quote me on that!

Write the numbers down? No... don't attempt that.
BK, if I remember correctly, you have a Samsung Galaxy note. Yes?
With a Google account, you can automatically have all your contacts backed up.
If you want more privacy, go to Samsung and download KEYS. It's a cloning software that allows you to copy nearly everything on your phone to your computer.
