Cremation... a bone crushing experience


I must have been brainwashed all those years of "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" when you are cremated there are ashes and a tarry substance and BONES. Dry hard bones that need to be CRUSHED. It's NOT a pretty sight.

Maybe I watched too many science fiction movies and how everything decomposed a soft powdery substance... Not.

Also you have to sign a paper that the remains can not be reversed.

Would that mean, somewhere along the way, family must have objected and wanted the body returned to it's previous state?

When you get remains, Every one weights about 20 lbs.

I'll have to research that one...
