We're Going Bananas... We have 30+ banana trees growing in the back yard and I'm determined to get some fruit from them this summer. A few months ago, we dug some holes around them and replaced the white sand with black top soil and added granular fertilizer. Typically, I'm the one who cuts away anything not green... but I'm running behind in my farming duties. My wife noted 'the purple thing' is coming out of one tree. This could be the start of something good, considering I've waited a few years for this! . .   |

Thanks... I just checked the Home Depot website and they carry several formulas.

Foots, we bought a bag of granular fertilizer specially formulated for fruits and vegetables as there is too much square footage to cover everything with spikes.
