Hurricane Danny is coming...

The photo is from the NOAA weather center and as of this afternoon, it's got Hurricane Danny headed right for Miami sometime in the middle of next week.
Actually, it may not be a hurricane by then. The weather casting models expect to weaken to a tropical storm as it passes over the northern part of Cuba.
Coincidentally, I had the huge tree in my front yard pruned today and should the storm strengthen, it's 3 to 4 hours preparation to secure things outside, get gas and oil for the generator and stock up on some supplies.
My water heater and cooking is gas and it hasn't disappointed for the 15 other hurricanes.
My wife has experienced a few typhoons in China and she knows my house has survived 1992 Hurricane Andrew's 185mph (296kph) wind gusts so the both of us feel secure here.

I understand that it passed near St. Maarteen.
I heard that it is weakened to a storm.
As soon as they pass French Guiana the storms weakened.

Yes, Danny appeared to dissipate. Erika has formed and is moving in the same path. Currently a tropical storm, the weather center predicts Erika to reach hurricane strength on Saturday as it reaches the Bahamas.
