I'm looking for a sole mate...

I've been wearing work boots for more than 30 years and I've tried many different brands and styles. In the beginning, Sears had one style that was comfortable, moderately priced and looked good, but they disappeared and my search started again trying to find the perfect work boot.

For the most recent 10 years I've been wearing one wide width style from Brahma brand that only sells at Wal-Mart. They fit perfectly, cost less than $30 and I change them every 4 to 5 months, using the older pair for gardening and dirty work around the house.

For some unknown reason they have been out of stock. Checking several stores and online, it's been months now and my favorite style is out of stock. Same brand, different color, I had to switch to another style. The worst part is they don't come in wide width so I have to buy a longer size to compensate as the instep part of the boot is lower and tighter with the inside height.

My feet are not unhappy and I am unhappy too.

I have 2 old pairs that I rotate every other day and weekly I'll keep checking to see when they come back in stock. when that happens, I'm going to buy 4 pairs and keep my own private stock!

I've got to find a new sole mate.

Thanks for reading my blog.

I passed by a few shoe stores this weekend... it's not in me to pay $130+ for boots.
