Drone ON2...

In general terms a drone is an unmanned aircraft*
If it's over 0.55 pounds (250grams) it needs to be registered with the FAA and tagged/labeled with your name, contact info and FAA assigned number. Failing to do so you could face civil penalties up to $27,500 and criminal penalties up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment for up to three years.

It's been stated there are more drones registered with the FAA now than full-size aircraft

Registration fee is $5 and there is no limit on the number of drones you can own. So the same ID number is on all of your drones.

I'm thinking the number of drone owners versus drones is radically wrong as many have two or three and at least one is under the weight limit.

* I'll go into more drone specifics in my next blog.
