That blast of perfume at 4:50pm...

I work at a large office with at least 7 women. Without looking at the clock, I know it's nearly 5pm because of the strong smell of perfume these women put on just before going home.

You're going home ladies... why do you need to douse on more perfume?

Perfume was invented to mask the stench of those who didn't bathe. Somehow it's (excessive) use has taken it to a new level.

The problem I see is perfume parallels with drug abuse/addiction, where some people need more and more perfume to achieve a level where they think they have enough. They don't realize just how much they are actually using and the people around them are literally overwhelmed by their scent.

I have a client like this and the funny part is she hasn't figured out why her allergies are so bad. When we meet in the morning, she is sniffling and I'm sure it's from her perfume. I prefer meetings in the large conference room because the air conditioning is better. I always have a headache from her perfume.

To back me up on this, a coworker also gets headaches from her smell.

Too much of a good thing?

My ex-wife worked in a bank and drenched herself with perfume. 40 years later she cannot tolerate perfume of any kind.

My wife, like me uses almond & oatmeal soap and no perfume.

"I did receive some perfume as a gift that is too strong for me, I use it as insert killer and it works perfectly."

Yes, I understand !!

"It is why I always have one in my bag."

Do you want them to remember YOU... or your perfume?

That reminds me...
Many years ago I was assigned the renovation project for Macy's at Herald Square. A huge store with their headquarters located inside.

Walking in the front of the store had 20 or so perfume greeters. It was the gauntlet of high toxicity.
