Gorilla drags a boy through the moat... One of the top stories this past weekend was about a four-year old boy who slipped through a protective railing and fell into a moat around the Gorilla attraction. A male Gorilla grabbed the boy and first appears to be protective, then the situation turns violent and he flings him around as though it was a 'rag-doll' toy. Zoo officials felt it was necessary to shoot the gorilla with bullets and not tranquilizer darts as the sedatives could have taken too long with undesired results. After a hospital exam they say the boy fine. People have protested the incident. Officials say they had no other option. The mother could be charged. The zoo could be charged. I saw the first video clip and thought 50/50 should they, shouldn't they. Then I saw another (longer) video and there was no question in my mind the bullet was the right decision. . . |

Child leash? I've seen that at the shopping mall... Great invention. I think they come in adult sizes too !!
