China Cabinet... I'm sure this phrase doesn't translate, but in the United States a display cabinet (or curio cabinet) that typically holds glassware or porcelain dishes is called a China Cabinet. If a woman is throwing (having) a party, it can be said she will bring out her best China! China is the accepted word for delicate porcelain dishes. . . |
