Hot ...

I don't mean this blog title to be a joke. Some new videos have been posted this week of in parked cars while the parent is shopping and according to one source 10 this year have died when left behind in a hot car with the windows rolled up.
It's pretty sad when someone passing by has to call police to break a car window to rescue a drenched in sweat trapped in a vehicle that's 130 degrees inside.

BK, various reasons. some completely forgot. Some underestimated the time it would take to shop. One woman left the engine on and and a/c running with the doors locked. They got the the child alive but most a/c's don't get very cold when the car is parked, especially in 95F temperatures.
95F = 35C
Last week, around 3pm my car registered the outside temperature was 108F
108F = 42.2C

One woman was arrested and the judge set bail at $50,000.

Someone sent me a message that statistics are on kidsandcars . org
They classify the deaths as heatstroke. The number I stated was only for this year and they claim there have been 23 hot car deaths so far.
