chatillion's pizza blog... I love pizza... good pizza. Not that corporate pizza that comes on a conveyor belt or the one with the 1" thick crust that has the texture of a sponge. I'm talking about a hand thrown pizza, thin crust and real tomato sauce! As a , we lived 1 block away from 2 really good pizza restaurants. Different recipes but both had great flavor. My parents used to order pizza with anchovies. They used the Italian word 'alice' pronounced ah-leege and the baker knew what they were talking about. It's tiny salty fish you get from a can. Much smaller than Sardines. Awesome taste but you will drink a gallon of water soon after because the salt is so high. Mmmm... PIZZA !! . . |

Those toppings are good. What I don't understand is who decided pineapple belongs on pizza? I'm thinking it came about in the 70's and someone must have been stoned !!

Meiji, when I went to China, I was surprised to see so many American Pizza restaurants but I didn't try them with the exception of the huge food counter at Wal-Mart. It looked like pizza... but it didn't taste like pizza. It was more like a semi-sweet pastry someone would have for breakfast.

Oh, and my wife didn't want to try when she came here... it was because she thought that Wal-Mart stuff was real pizza!! Yeah, she was pleasantly surprised, but she breaks off small pieces and eats them using chopsticks.
