If it looks like a scammer... If it looks like a scammer and sounds like a scammer, chances are it is a scammer. It's amazing to read other blogs and blog comments and complaints about this website crawling with fake profiles only because I'm reporting 3-4 every day... and following up to see they get booted out. That would mean my efforts keep over 1,000 bogus profiles off Asia Friend Finder each year. Did you catch that? Do the math. Since I'm only doing this here.... it's the OTHER dating sites that are crawling with bogus profiles. I'm trying to have 100% success but that's not possible as I believe some scammers will create a batch of new profiles and hide their presence only to bring out when required. What frustrates me are the handful of profiles (especially the gold members) that management refuses to close. If I report one who is using the photo of a movie star and I provide a link to the source of the photo along with a bio of the movie star you would think it's enough to close the profile. Sometimes, it's not. Read back a few blogs of mine about the profile that I've been reporting more than a year now of a woman who claims to be Italian living in Shanghai, seeking the company of other women... Her profile is using the photo of Canadian actress and writer Nicole Evangeline Lilly. Nicole was the star of a TV series LOST and one famous scene from the movie is the photo this member has chosen. You can buy a poster of this scene on Amazon !! I supplied all the facts but the profile is active and... the member uploaded more stolen photos of the movie star to their profile this week. Naturally, I submitted another abuse report with links to show where the photos came from and included a link showing that Nicole Evangeline Lilly is living in Hawaii with her lover who also was part of the TV series and (the best part) had their 2nd together in October 2015. Isn't that enough factual information to close a bogus profile...? I would think so. Yes, 3-4 bogus profiles every day. It's like popping pimples on your face getting satisfaction to the goo oozing from each pore!  . . |

An important thing to mention... Before writing this blog I reported a profile using a photo of a pornstar. When I scanned my hit list 15 minutes later the profile was closed. I don't know if it was closed by the member or staff. Let's hope it was staff. Scammer... be gone with thee !!

In the last 24 hours I see 12 new profiles created. Of that, I've already reported 5 profiles with pornstar photos. 3 are now closed and 2 reported this morning are pending. I'm suspicious of 3 others but I haven't linked them to anything... yet. I'm sure there are no other dating sites that has someone scanning the new members... all of them, looking for bogus photos/profiles.

Make that 8. I'm seeing some repeat offenders. The same pornstar photos keep coming back on new profiles.

Make that 9. someone came online within the hours using the photo of a famous actress. Amazing. Bella, it's time consuming enough to do the women's profiles, sorry I don't have time to scan the men's profiles too.

BK, I get those too and wait. If they send their contact info on the first message they get reported and the profile is closed/deactivated. One came last week and I didn't reply. Now, the woman (she claims to be a woman) sent another but if you read my blog from today, the policy changed and standard members can no longer respond to email.
