Faked Photos... I really love this stuff. A profile with one photo that looked normal came online yesterday. I didn't like the introduction... something about it wasn't right. Yeah, the profile was a woman claiming to be from Thailand. I really would not expect them have perfect English, but if you know me, I was suspicious. So... I ran the photo looking for something similar and what I found was a pornstar with the same outfit... except it was a different color. The pornstar was wearing a BLUE outfit. Ding, ding, ding my scammer alert went off. It was the same photo with the exception of the color and and the woman's face. If you have played with Photoshop (or similar) photo editing software you know you can change the color hue. I have a few computers and on my main computer could alter the colors perfectly, but I'm doing it on a computer using a free editing program that is very limited, so the results aren't perfect, but you get the idea I'm about to convey. Photos in order: 1) The member here. 2) The original porn star's photo. 3) The porn star's photo colored altered. 4) My face pasted to the porn star's photo. Now, it you look closely you can see the curtain and lamp in the background of all the photos. Summary: This new member's photo had been altered. If you go by the high percentage of fakes who come here, there is a really good chance whoever did the work on photo number one is a scammer. Who can you trust?? From my experience, not many. .  .   |

Doesn't surprise me. Everything about this site seems fake. I reality, I think there are only about 10 people who use this site as intended

I believe the percentage is higher... maybe 30% - 40% real members. On another dating site, if you tried to create a profile and the IP address didn't match the location you said you were from you were unable to complete the new member process. After the programmers implemented that code, it knocked out a good percentage of African scammers pretending to be in the United States.

Shadow, since I'm a standard member I don't know what features are available to premium members. Can you set an age limit to who can contact you? I know on POF the owner was annoyed so many abused his website and implemented an age spread. It was something like 10 years difference. You could not contact (or be contacted by) anyone who was more than 10 years older or younger.

Some of us don't mind the age differences, but it does put us at greater risk of being approached by fakes. I know that's the hook for us older gentlemen, the possibility of pulling a much younger woman. As for ip address checks, can't see it working there are many ways to fake your ip address as you know. Got to agree with Shadow, seen many similar photos of what can be said to be clones or the same person used. All these pictures show the classic Asian amine style look. Tight eyebrows and big wide eyes I've seen one where a petite Asian amine profile claims to be located in the Bronx NY. Sorry can't see that happening and there is a huge Asian/Chinese population in NYC so red flags everywhere.

I never heard of Stuyvesant Falls, NY... until last week when 3 different profiles were created using photos of young women with what you describe as 'Anime style' looks. That tipped my fraud meter!

I was getting hot listed more when I had a photo of my foot! Pretty amazing. . .

I'm knocking out 3 to 4 scammers a day on average. That would account for it.
