Kenny the R2-D2 actor... I wasn't totally interested in the Star Wars movies, but I do know some of the characters in the first few movies. If you recall the Droids (androids) R2-D2 and C-3P0 were in those movies. I knew C-3P0 had a real man inside the metal costume, but I didn't know the R2-D2 droid also had a human at the controls. It was British actor Kenny Baker at 3 feet - 8 inches tall who played the part. Last month, I read that Kenny had some long-term health issues and died at the age of 81. I bookmarked the story. Unfortunately, I was busy and didn't get back to blog about it. So goodbye to Kenny, the iconic droid R2-D2 ! . .
