Hurricane Matthew... coming to a shoreline near you !

I've been following the weather forecasts for Hurricane Matthew and see it was taking a more northern path than earlier forecasts and will cut through the western tip of Haiti and the eastern tip of Cuba early Tuesday. Currently traveling at 8mph it will pass the Bahamas on Wednesday and head to open waters in the Atlantic on a course that originally looked like North Carolina and Virginia but now it's predicted to veer slightly westward and will skirt along the Florida coastline.

So batten down the hatches and get your rain gear as it could be a wet one!

The photo attached is from the link to the NOAA.GOV website that updates on 2 hour intervals. This one is time stamped Monday at 8pm.

From satellite imagery this morning, the storm was compact and didn't have a well defined eye wall. By the afternoon that had changed. Typically that means the storm could intensify.
