poor, pour, pore...

My wife took a vacation from learning English. She's back to studying at a comfortable pace and listening to English TV shows and internet broadcasts. Will she be fluent in English? Probably not, but we communicate well and I'm not pushing her to learn any faster as that would create frustration and possibly make it harder for her to learn. So we go slow and laugh when she says the wrong word or mispronounces something for the tenth time.

One of her girlfriends who came to America a few years before my wife can barely speak enough English when I answer the phone. Not easy...

She gets tripped up with poor, pour, pore, but so do some Americans for that matter.
