The Conservative Borg... The Borg are from the science fiction Movie/TV series STAR TREK. Borg (or the Borg) are a pseudo-race of cybernetically enhanced organisms. Organized as an interconnected collective, their decisions are made by a hive mind. They all think, act and respond as one. According to Wiki: "They operate solely toward the fulfilling of one purpose: to "add the biological and technological distinctiveness of other species to their own" in pursuit of perfection. This is achieved through forced assimilation, a process which transforms individuals and technology into Borg, enhancing, and simultaneously controlling, individuals by implanting or appending synthetic components." Their goal is assimilation and "resistance is futile." Going back about six years ago, it seemed like three times a week I heard/read someone say "Obama single-handedly destroyed America". The first time I thought it was funny. The second time I began to wonder 'why the exact same phrase'. I was invited to a gathering at a country club in West Palm Beach sponsored by a trade magazine my company advertised in. While socializing, I met up with a local Architect and we talked about how the market changed and I explained to me "Our designer business dried up. Architects are doing the work of designers now when they used to give it out to the other trades". He mentioned, having 3 college degrees and it more-than qualified as a designer. The market was weak, he was doing designer work too. A designer overhearing the conversation introduced himself and the topic changed to him moving to Florida because there was no work in his home state. Out of the mouth of the Architect was a comment that he is waiting for the next election because the current person in the White House had destroyed America. WTF? this is uncanny. Not that people are complaining about the president. that started BEFORE he took office. It's hard enough to understand that... It's they are chanting the same phrases like some form of mental conditioning or mind control... or maybe... they are The Conservative Borg. I'm envisioning every night these people go home and when it's time to sleep, they plug a USB cable into their neck connected to their computer, so they can sync with the mothership awaiting instructions for the following day. For the record, Obama won a second term that is coming to a close. Job creation is up and unemployment is down. Those are the latest statistics. America wasn't destroyed. However the Conservative Borg are shouting not to vote for Hilliary as she will destroy America. Say it isn't so. Say these are just coincidental events. Say it's not the Conservative Borg trying to assimilate me. Resistance is futile. Prepare to be assimilated. . |
