“The Quiet One” Fifteen years ago, On November 29, 2001 at the age of 58, George Harrison lost his life to cancer. Guitarist, singer, songwriter, music and film producer... George achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles. About 12 years ago, I saw Paul McCartney in concert and he told some stories about how George played ukelele in a social group. Paul, strummed a song on a uke to honor him. It's my opinion George was overshadowed by the talents of Lennon and McCartney but nevertheless wrote some memorable songs for all eternity. . |
