Another heart-warming story... In the news this weekend, was a story about two un-leashed pit bulls attacking a man who was walking his Jack Russell terrier on a dock at Catalina Island. From what I've been told, he was on a section of the pier used to access fishing boats as he and his dog (a Jack Russell Terrier) were on their way to a boat when a woman who had two unleashed pit bulls attacked the man and his dog. The man was hospitalized as one of the dogs took a chunk from his arm and leg. The injury is so severe he will need multiple surgeries. I don't know about other places, but I recall there was once a ban on pit bulls in Miami, then I heard you had to carry liability insurance. That requirement must have been lifted as I see more pit bulls around than ever before. . |
