______ Born Chinese... More than 20 years ago I first heard the acronym ABC (also noted as A.B.C.) that referred to a Chinese person born in America. American Born Chinese. It was spoken by a woman who was born in China and came to America after college. She married a man of Chinese heritage who was born in United States. Although he has 100% Chinese blood and spoke Chinglish (a mixture of Chinese and English), he didn't experience the full flavor of Chinese culture. That was partly the reason they ended up in a divorce. The part I found odd was she started dating Caucasian men after that! I saw a new profile today of a woman who called herself an MAB, Malaysian born Chinese. I guess that's another version of ( insert country ) Born Chinese. . |

There is a Chinese market near my house that is family owned. They came from Venezuela, a Spanish speaking country in South America. I heard the cashier speaking to the clerk in Spanish and that aroused my curiosity to ask where they came from. That would make them VBC, Venezuelan Born Chinese... Now, I chuckle when I greet the owners as I usually say... Hola! Hello! NiHao! as they are fluent in 3 languages.

symon, I received a message from that member on July 26, but I ignored it. Yeah, the profile was deactivated... probably for violation of the rules. 33F from Halifax, Canada. Do you have any live ones you want me to 'sniff out' ?

I cannot say for sure on that one. Sometimes they are real but give out their address on the first message and the profile gets closed by management.

BK, I'm avoiding opening new messages as they are 100% bogus and usually get deactivated within a few weeks. If the rules haven't changed, you cannot reply with your email until the 2nd reply. Many times I have received new messages with their email and I know it's a scam. I've been known to click the report abuse and usually that profile gets deactivated within an hour. I went looking to see if it's on the Terms of Use, but I didn't notice it.

I'll be as honest as I can be. You know my hobby is finding fake profiles using photos of models and celebrities. The report abuse page isn't working. It's been broken for months, so I send my reports directly to the customer service page. They have been pretty good about closing the fake profiles. Sometimes, my research takes me to other dating sites and I see dozens of fake profiles. Many more than here. I only do this with profiles of woman, so I cannot help you with the fake men profiles. If you have a specific one that you want researched, post the information on one of my blogs. I usually check here daily.

Yes, scammers join paid sites. They probably do better there as some have a false belief that paying to be on a subscription dating site would make them honest... and possibly wealthy. be careful !!
